Tap into Tokyo’s Energy

Attend a traditional drum session, and tour city highlights in Tokyo and rural attractions in Yamanashi with views of Mt. Fuji.

About Your Trip

From the moment you step off the plane in Tokyo, the vibrant culture captivates with its rich heritage, bustling street life and scenic natural beauty. Get immersed in it all, starting with an exhilarating full-day sightseeing tour of Japan’s capital city. Visit the tallest tower in Japan, Tokyo Skytree, along with the city’s oldest temple, Senso-ji (also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple). Indulge in a private Japanese drum session. Then, end the day with a walk through Harajuku and Omotesando to get a real feel for the culture.

Travel to Yamanashi prefecture the following day to explore Mt. Fuji from several perspectives. But first, head to Mt. Fuji Visitor Center to learn about all about this UNESCO-protected site. After lunch, you’ll admire the volcanic landscape of Owakudani. Then, enjoy a front-row seat of the majestic Mt. Fuji on a Hakone Ropeway gondola, and hop aboard boat on Lake Ashi for views of Japan’s highest mountain!

The next day, explore more of the city at your leisure or simply relax at the hotel after your action-packed adventure. Be sure to take some time to sample some of Tokyo’s finest dishes, including daiginjo (premium sake) and natto gyoza (dumplings filled with fermented soybeans).

What we love:
• Located at the base of the tallest tower in Japan, Tokyo Skytree, is a shopping and entertainment complex with more than 300 stores, a domed theater, a planetarium and an aquarium.
• Step into history with a visit to Senso-ji — this ancient temple is an astounding 1,300 years old.
• UNESCO added Mt. Fuji to its World Heritage site list in 2013 and recognizes 25 of the mountain’s localities as points of cultural interest.
